Despite market uncertainties and 43 percent less venture capital investments in 2022, the German startup industry recorded its second strongest full-year result. In addition, the 1000 deal mark was surpassed for the second time in a row.

Once again, we invite you to our popular pitch event Startups Meet Investors and look forward to exciting presentations, many new contacts and a real atmosphere of optimism. The event on May 23, 2023 from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm is a real highlight for all startups looking for capital. In addition, our keynote speaker Dr. Ulrich Schmitt from the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) will hold a keynote speech about “Ideas need capital. Financing in uncertain times” and will be available for further questions.

The event is organized by EY Startup together with NRWalley, the startup association and the voice of startups in NRW.

NRWalley is the network of startups in North Rhine-Westphalia. As the only organization in the region, they aim to link all the regions of our federal state with each other. From Münsterland to South Westphalia, from the Lower Rhine to Lippe. They represent the interests of the entire ecosystem vis-à-vis society, promote a new start-up era and a culture of self-employment.

Your startup is from the Connectivity, HealthTech, FinTech, FrontierTech & Big Data, Industry 4.0 or Transport & Logistic sector? Then apply now via our application form until 30.04.2023 for one of the six highly coveted pitches to present your business model to selected investors and family offices! The final participants will be decided in a selection process. In addition, your startup should already have first traction and investment rounds and be in the second seed round or Series-A.

EY Start-up Academy 2020: Kick-off

The fourth edition of the EY Start-up Academy begins on 15 September – for the first time with a virtual kick-off! Together with our strong partners, which include investors, finance and mobility companies as well as other important players from the start-up ecosystem, we are looking for ambitious Tech and FinTech business models with growth potential. The program is aimed at Tech or FinTech start-ups that have completed the Alpha phase, already have a minimum viable product or a proof of concept and are seeking funding within the next 12 months.

The founders nominated for the EY Start-up Academy will present their business ideas to a jury of experts in a pitch contest. You can vote on the finalists for the EY Start-up Academy. Join

Startup Weekend Munich 2018 – Digital Health

NO TALK! Time to take an action and join SUWM 2018.

Startup Weekend Munich is a 3-day event where participants develop their ideas into solid business models. Under the close supervision and guidance of successful entrepreneurs, diverse teams have a chance to learn invaluable business tools and methods and to apply them during the event. This year we develop ideas with the theme “Digital Health”.

How does it work?  

Business ideas are pitched on Friday night and then teams are created with the top 10 most voted ideas. Throughout the weekend, coaches and mentors from different disciplines help the teams in their specific business idea, whether it is a prototype, functioning app or a hardware. On Sunday evening, the final pitches are presented in front of a jury, where the best teams will be qualified for one of the prizes.

Startup Weekend Munich is a hugely successful event and is running for the 8th time in Munich. It has already welcomed over 750 motivated participants, listened to 215 idea pitches, 100 final presentation pitches and helped to build at least 3 businesses each year starting from 2010.

Start-up Safari Frankfurt am Main

What is the current status of the start-up ecosystem in Frankfurt and how could it develop in the coming years? What can the community expect from the companies and people sustaining it? The aim of this session is to provide some answers to such relevant questions, as well as to serve as thought provoking discussion for the various parties involved in the ecosystem.

EY is pleased to offer you a perspective on how the start-up ecosystem in Frankfurt is changing an provide you with an overview of how it could evolve into a global point of attraction for talents and ideas. After a brief introduction to the EY start-up world, the session will continue with the illustration of the Frankfurt journey as start-up hub and conclude with a panel made of reputable representatives of the Frankfurt ecosystem.
