Despite the corona crisis, more German startups received fresh capital in the first half of this year than in the same period last year: The number of financing rounds rose by 8 percent to 360. However, there were hardly any major transactions that had still set financing records in 2019 - and the investment volume fell accordingly: by 22 percent to 2.2 billion euros.
